My First Time Sending a Gift to India from Indonesia

Honestly, the first time I wanted to send a birthday gift to my boyfriend in Mumbai, I panicked. Googling till 2 AM. Most info just made me more confused.

Finally I tried AiiDell because I saw a review from someone in Jakarta too. I ordered a flower bouquet + small Cadbury chocolate. Total around Rp 480k including shipping.

What made me calm:

  • They WhatsApp'd me at every step. When the item arrived at the flower shop in Mumbai, they told me too.
  • The bouquet was photographed before delivery. So I knew the colors matched.
  • Reached his hands in 6 hours from payment.

What made me hesitate:
I was scared I'd have to make a complicated account. Turns out just email, OTP, done. No password to remember.

My tips:

  1. Order in the morning WIB if you want it to arrive in India by afternoon (only 1.5 hour difference).
  2. For flowers, pick fresh ones — there's info on when they were cut.
  3. Include a card. Free, and that's what makes them cry on the other side.

Now I've sent 4 times. Anniversary, Diwali, Holi, birthday. None lost yet.

If you're in an LDR with someone Indian, don't be scared. Try something small first — a box of chocolate. After that you'll be sure yourself.
